Acceleration module ASB-60-EW-08
Acceleration modules ensure that workpiece carriers leave the processing station faster and the next processing cycle can start earlier. This reduces the cycle time. Acceleration modules are particularly effective on conveyor lines with accumulation roller chains.

Installation
The acceleration module is fastened using the side mounting holes for M8 screws.

Functional scheme EW
Single acting:
The acceleration plate is held in its lowered position by a compression spring.
The air connection P2 is used to lift up the acceleration plate.
With the air connection P1, the acceleration plate of the module is extended (accelerated).
Functional scheme DW
Double acting:
There is no compression spring installed to hold the acceleration module in the upper or lowered position.
The air connection P2 is used to lift up the acceleration plate.
The air connection P3 is used to lower the acceleration plate.
With the air connection P1, the acceleration plate of the module is extended (accelerated).

Piston diameter lowering piston: Ø34 mm
Piston rod diameter lowering piston: Ø20 mm

Piston diameter acceleration piston: Ø22 mm
Acceleration stroke: 18mm
The speed of the acceleration piston can be adjusted using a throttle screw on the top of the device.
Spring forces
Spring force with the EW variant for the lower and upper position:
F1 = 69 N; F2 = 100 N
Forces of the spring in the acceleration piston:
F1 = 12 N; F2 = 27 N
